Over the weekend I was at a party and spoke to a psytrance DJ and asked him what he looks for when listening to good psytrance and he said that he has only ever seen one or two music videos for psytrance in his life but says he would be very interested in having one or two made for his tracks and mixes because its different and would help the genre move forward in new music.
he specified that in good psytrance there must be references to party's, the people at the party's, the euphoric feeling, bass, sound in general and I quote "anything that may be found trippy in any messed up way possible" he did not specify exactly why but from what i have gathered from other psytrance songs and artists its because the music is psychodelic and weird usualy influenced by alcohol and the spur of the moment euphoric feeling.
